Creative Workshos Youth Collective

Creative Workshops Youth Collective

Creative Workshops NZ are holding a week-long contemporary technique and compositional/choreographic workshop, ending with a theatre performance for the Wellington public.

18th-22nd Janurary 2021

Te Auaha, 65 Dixon Street, Te Aro, Wellington.

$50 registration fee.

13-18 years old with a passion for contemporary dance.

The aim is to provide an opportunity beyond the usual one hour contemporary class, to perform and learn the choreographic skills for making a short length work as a youth company in Wellington.

We understand at that age there are pressures of knowing what career to pursue after leaving high school and we believe that everyone has their own individual relationship to dance, whether it be their main focus or something they really enjoy.

Providing this opportunity will give young students of Wellington a wider understanding of what it is like to work as a professional dancer in a safe and encouraging environment to help guide their future endeavours, whatever they may be.

To register, please click the button below, let us know your age, your contemporary experience and what dance school you attend. From there we will send you a confirmation email and a registration form to fill out on 30th November.

Spaces are limited.

Proudly supported by Wellington City Council and Capital Theatre Productions.

Testimonials

"Zara has been on such a high since the course. I applaud you both for your kindness and your level of expertise. You instilled such confidence in Zara and that self-belief is so crucial at that age.

We will be signing up again!

Also a big thank you for the photos and videos. Really appreciated also. It allowed me to watch in a relaxed manner not worrying about how to work the technology!!"
